1/16/10: Obama's Syracuse School Snub

Barack Obama doesn't care about schoolchildren:

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Some local elementary students are upset with President Obama. It all stems from a letter they wrote him.

The Rotakids at H.W Smith School in Syracuse sent the President a letter on November 13th asking him to come and build a snowman at the school. They told him about their school’s diversity and included a photo of the group.

They got a form letter back that was dated November 6th, which was one week before the students mailed the letter to the White House.

To make matters worse, the letter didn’t come close to answering the kids’ request.

“I was disappointed because I think his office could have done better than that,” Kiana Furgeson, a 6th grader at H.W. Smith said.

The kids got the idea of making a snowman because they thought it would show unity and peaceful living. Most of the kids didn’t really think that the President would come to Syracuse to make a snowman, but they at least wanted a letter thanking them for the invite. ….

This the best type of Obama failure - humorous and safe. Sure, it is unfortunate that the kids got the shaft, but no terrorists are getting a civilian trial, the CIA is not being attacked, the US economy is not being destroyed.
