2/2/10: Obama Launches Another Attack on US City
Hat tip to Lonely Conservative...
Nevermind the Islamist terrorists. President Obama has made it clear that he has no problem launching verbal bombs at US cities. Once again, his favorite target seems to be Las Vegas:
President Obama is catching heat from Nevada lawmakers and business leaders regarding his comments Tuesday criticizing trips to Las Vegas.During the president's town hall meeting in Nashua, New Hampshire, he discussed the need to curb spending during tough economic times. "When times are tough, you tighten your belts," the president said. "You don't go buying a boat when you can barely pay your mortgage. You don't blow a bunch of cash on Vegas when you're trying to save for college."

Geez. Does he realize Las Vegas is an American city? Maybe he could have targeted a city outside of the US, you know, something like: "You don't go vacationing in Paris when you're trying to save taxpayer dollars." Oh, riiiiight - Paris...
And don't forget about how the president dropped approximately $30,000 of not-his-own-money for date night in New York City.
Oh, and how could we forget how the White House ran up a $328,835 tab for an Air Force One joyride around New York City?
Anyswayze, Obama's attack was denounced by none other than Harry Reid - the top Democrat in the Senate, who has stuck his neck on the line for Obamacare and has paid dearly for it:
The president's comments come nearly a year after he criticized companies that received federal money for taking corporate junkets to Las Vegas. "You can't go take that trip to Las Vegas or go down to the Super Bowl on taxpayers' dime," he said at the time. Local business leaders say Nevada tourism suffered last year in part because companies canceled trips to Las Vegas in the wake of the president's comments.
