President Obama couldn't make it to the funeral of Polish President Lech Kaczynski, due to the massive cloud of volcanic ash hovering over Europe and canceling thousands of flights across the world.
No big deal. It was physically impossible for Obama to be in Poland. Totally understandable.
However! Leave it to President Bow n' Snub to screw up a gift-wrapped excuse... You see, he went golfing:
A massive volcanic plume covering most of Europe forced President Obama to cancel a Sunday trip to Poland to attend the funeral of the nation's president. But the last-minute change left an opening in his schedule, so the president headed to the links for a round of golf instead.
On a cool but sun-drenched Sunday, the president and three golfing companions went to Andrews Air Force Base to play 18 holes. It is the 32nd time Mr. Obama has played golf since taking office Jan. 20, 2009, according to CBS Radio's Mark Knoller.

Side note: If you are a regular reader of Obama Fail Blog, you know that Obama is a terrible golfer and he only golfs so he can smoke cigarettes away from the cameras.
See, the problem here is that Obama could have done any number of things to reach out to the Polish-American community. They still have an embassy in the US, right? There are countless Polish communities throughout the country. Why not do something - ANYTHING - to show he gives a damn?
Because he DOESN'T give a damn. It's that simple.
It is hard to think of anything more insulting to the Polish people on the day they mourned the loss not only of their president but much of their political and military leadership, for the president of the United States to be enjoying a round of golf after canceling plans to attend the funeral. It is yet another disgraceful example of crass insensitivity to a close American ally, which has become the hallmark of the Obama administration’s amateurish foreign policy.
Just eight months on from humiliating Warsaw by pulling out of the agreement over Third Site missile defence installations in Poland and the Czech Republic, the White House has insulted the Poles yet again. This is no minor diplomatic faux pas – it is a second full-blown slap in the face for a key US partner, whose soldiers are currently laying their lives on the line alongside their American allies on the battlefields of Afghanistan.

Sure, sure. It is a snub and it is disappointing, but Obama couldn't be in Poland, period... right? Well, if you really want to get technical, it was possible for Obama to be in Poland:
Congratulations Media Matters! You've made it to the Obama Fail Blog!But Russian President Dmitry Medvedev flew by plane from Moscow for the funeral. Other foreign leaders used different modes of transportation to get there. Slovenian President Danilo Turk decided to drive the 500 miles to Krakow. Romanian President Traian Basescu traveled to northwestern Romania by helicopter and then continue by car through Hungary and Slovakia.
Estonian Prime Minister Andrus Ansip made the 18-hour drive to the funeral, while Czech Republic President Vaclav Klaus made the trip by car and train. Former Ukrainian president Viktor Yushchenko left Kiev with his wife at 7 a.m. Saturday for the long road trip.
