4/5/10: Obama Throws Out First Pitch, Like a Girl (Again)

Remember when President Obama threw out the first pitch at the All-Star game? He threw like a girl - or like someone who grew up in Indonesia... Because, well, he DID grow up in Indonesia.

Seems like good ol' President Bow n' Tax hasn't been practicing much. His first pitch at today's Nationals game sailed high and wide and it looked, well, awful. Way to go Barry!

Note: At last year's All-Star game - which was in St. Louis - Obama made sure to wear a Chicago White Sox jacket, so he could blame the boos on his jacket, not his policies. You see, Cardinals fans really don't have much affinity for the White Sox - mostly because of geographical location. Both teams play in each other's backyards, regionally speaking, and city rivalry between St. Louis and Chicago is fairly intense.

This year, Obama did the exact same thing... He strolled to the mound and whipped out a White Sox hat. Unfortunately for the White House PR staff, there is no rivalry between the White Sox and the Nationals, so the boos can't really be blamed on the hat. More importantly, why would anyone want to mock a team's Opening Day ceremony by trying to elicit boos from the crowd? If you're the guest of the franchise that plays in your new home city, maybe it would be better to wear a Nationals hat. After all, it's not like Obama grew up in Chicago anyway... he grew up in Indonesia and Hawaii. He went to college in California and New York. And do we have any evidence that Obama knows ANYTHING about the White Sox? Don't forget, Obama screwed up the name of the White Sox home field (Comiskey Park) when he referred to it as "Cominskey Field" during an interview with Bob Costas.

Once again, the president has proven himself to be arrogant, petty, misinformed, obnoxious and - most importantly - an athletic lightweight.
