Well, it turns out the video in question only showed part of Sherrod's speech - and the speech was made 24 years ago. The rest of the speech kind of implies that Sherrod has learned that quasi-socialism should trump racism in the way government employees perform their duties. Of course, socialism is encouraged in the Obama administration, so Sherrod should have been allowed to keep her job, right?
Well, yeah, except that by the time the Obama administration learned the facts about the context of Sherrod's speech, they had already forced her to pull over to the side of the road and type a resignation letter on her Blackberry. Only the Obama administration could screw up something so royally.
Cue the apology - not for hiring a formerly racist, currently kinda socialist bureaucrat - but for, well, making a giant mess out of everything:
