Another edition of Obama Fail Watch:

1.) There is something lurking the latest Obama stimulus bill. It is called the Foreign Account Tax Compliance and it is not good:

In summary, this bill requires that foreign banks and financial institutions disclose the full details of American account-holders to the IRS -- and to withhold 30% of all outgoing capital flows into those accounts if the IRS (not the courts) deems the account-holder "recalcitrant." These requirements would also apply to non-American citizens living in the United States or to foreigners having investments and paying taxes within the country.

If these stipulations are deemed illegal by a given foreign nation's domestic laws, then the financial institution and the account-holder are required to close the account.

The end result of this action, if allowed to stand, will be to force banks and other foreign financial institutions to stop doing business within the United States, and further, make the country much less attractive to foreign investors, who will now come under the heavy hand of the IRS.

(1) The President of the United States, without any Congressional authorization on the subject, is unilaterally announcing a policy that will affect the day-to-day ground-level operations of every hospital in the nation.

(2) The federal government is dictating national policy on a divisive social issue having nothing to do with any expenditure of federal money or any federal program, simply by virtue of the leverage created by the financial dependence of hospitals on the Medicare and Medicaid programs.

Coincidentally, Gruber is also under contract with the Department of Health and Human Services - the same organization that is playing a 3-card monte trick to obscure the relationship of Kathleen Sebelius and Ezekiel Emanuel to new cost-saving measures designed to prevent access to mammograms and pap smears. Instead, a bunch of old, rich white bureaucrats will meet in secret in order to push ObamaCare through before President Obama's upcoming State of the Union address. While Janet Napolitano was telling us "the system worked," Michael Leither - the director of the National Counterterrorism Center - was skiing. 3.) Add CIA director Leon Panetta to the list of administration officials who were on vacation during and after the Christmas terror attack. In Panetta's case, he didn't return to CIA headquarters until after Jan. 1, meaning he remained on vacation during two separate terrorist acts - the Christmas attack and the Dec. 30 bombing that killed 7 CIA agents in Afghanistan.
